The Akira Majestic was designed by Akira Homes’ in-house multi award winning designer – Tony James Design. Construction was undertaken by Akira Homes’ master builders and carpenters.

The house was designed around the two storey living room which has is origins from the palaces in St Petersburg, Russia. From this two storey living room, the grand entrance with its sweeping timber staircase, curves around and actually meets the kitchen which continues along the same curve. The bathrooms all feature floor to ceiling porcelain tiles and slump glass vanities. The ceilings all feature magnificent Paddington cornices and the entrance has a large stepped ceiling feature. All the ducting for airconditioning and plumbing were completely taken care of in the initial designing and no spaces, including cupboard spaces, were lost for ducting. The house has numerous storage areas including a walk-in pantry, two walk-in robes and walk in linen press with 130m² of storage space. The house has extensive use of Unitex Mouldings to give it that “old world” charm.

Akira Homes are very proud to have bee able to design and build this magnificent home which was a finalist in The Hills Building Awards and runner-up in the MBA Housing In Excellence Awards.
